Retraction settings.

I am interested to know what retraction setting people use to get the best quality prints from their printer and look at how they vary from printer to printer. Is there any hardware that can result in better prints due to less stringing. I myself use simplify3D and just cant seem to get my settings dialled in. submitted by …Continue reading →

Switching PTFE heatbreak to all-metal on Ender 3

Due to wanting to print ABS and PETG (I usually print both around 235 degrees on my other printer) and the stock PTFE heatbreak not considered safe for that temperature, I ordered all-metal replacements. Is there something to be considered, settings-wise, after the switch? Thanks in advance! submitted by /u/moepstaronx [link] [comments] from 3D printing news https://ift.tt/2wPguBB …Continue reading →

Best Slicer 2018: high quality/advanced users?

Is there a software to figure out the best way to fit a model on a build plate?

I want to print off a statue. The problem I'm running into is it takes a crap ton of support and it's taking me all day in trying to figure out how to print this right. Is there a program that automatically moves the model to the right angle and what not for the lowest amount of support required? …Continue reading →
